Nurturing little blessings every day

At Little Blessings Early Learning Centre, we aim to create an environment where children can grow in faith, wisdom, and love, supported by Christian values, Te Whāriki principles, and a combination of Reggio Emilia and play-based learning. We believe that through love, play, exploration, and collaboration, children develop into confident, compassionate individuals who understand their identity. Our centre is a place where children are nurtured, empowered, and inspired to become lifelong learners, strong in their faith and connected to the community around them.

Our learning approach

Guided by Te Whāriki and Christian values

Children learn best when they feel safe, loved and known. Our programme weaves together play-based learning, relationships and spiritual nurturing.

Compassion and Empathy

The ability to understand and share the feelings of others, offering comfort and support. Encouraging children to care for others, comfort those who are sad, and celebrate each other's successes fosters a loving, inclusive environment.

Respect and Kindness

Showing consideration and regard for others, treating them with dignity and care. Encouraging children to speak kindly, share with others, and value every person's unique quality fosters a community of respect and care.

Patience and Self Control

The ability to wait calmly and manage one's emotions, particularly in difficult situations. Encouraging children to practice waiting their turn, managing frustration, and making thoughtful choices cultivates a spirit of patience.

Perseverance and Resilience

The ability to keep going in the face of challenges, knowing that God helps us through difficulties. Encouraging children to persist through challenges, and not give up when things get tough teaches resilience and determination.

Forgiveness and Reconciliation

The willingness to let go of resentment and seek peaceful resolutions to conflicts. Helping children understand the importance of forgiving others, asking for forgiveness, and restoring relationships builds peace and harmony within the community.
